Exporting psd files into After Effects...no alpha channel

When I export my .psd files and import in After Effects, all I get are blanks. When I open the same files in PS CS, they look fine, but there is no alpha channel....so I have to create one manually...too tedious a process. I must be doing something wrong. Thank you in advance for your time and advice.

I can't remember very well, and I have not instaled AFX now, but have you tried to change some alfa parameters in File --> Interprete Footage menu comand? (or right mouse click in importes PSD file (not sure)) Maybe this ccould help... but I'm not sure, CIAO!

must be a bug

Can you post a link to one of your PSD files? The PSD files don't have an alpha channel in the same way PNG files do. Instead, each layer has its own transparency. This means you can re-order, move around, or otherwise edit different layers and everything will still look right.

In a PNG file, the alpha channel represents the overall transparency of the entire picture, and has no knowledge of the individual layers.

In a PSD file, depending on the content, it may seem like there's no overall transparency. This could be the case for example, if you have some background the covers the entire scene. However, the individual layers may still have their own transparency.

Also, keep in mind that when exporting to PSD, only the top-leve layers become layers in the PSD file.

Again, if you can post a link to your file, I may be able to be more specific.
