How do I export a single image

Thanks, I can't seem to find an answer but have searched. I have Anime Studio 7 debut. I want to capture an image/frame and take it to photoshop. I can't seem to find the print screen option as mentioned in Help, perhaps debut doesn't have it.
I can render the frame in Preview, but then how do I "screen capture" this rendered frame?

Thanks for any help.

Have you tried CTRL-R to render a quick render then use the drop-down menu at the bottom of the window?

From there you can export as a file of copy to the buffer to be able to paste in Photoshop.

You can not save an image in debut. What you can do is preview the animation at the frame you want to use then print screen and crop the image to the size you need then import that to Photoshop.

thanks guys for both responses- I'm still not getting it:

I control R but don't have a drop down at the bottom of that window- its a smaller window and nothing drops down.

I can controlR and I can preview render but from there I don't know how to "print screen" I don't seem to have that option in the menus. I don't know how to capture that small rendered picture.

Thanks for your help, Ara

Thats the one! :)

Then in Photoshop, create a new document, it will be the right size in the new document window, then just paste it from the edit menu or use ctrl-v shortcut.

cool, thanks so much.. and ya'll don't realize how much your other posts have helped as well ;-)

on an interesting note, this will give me the opportunity to stage some "props" etc differently from the scenes and take pictures with wider / narrower camera shots

ps here is the video at http://www.aratunes.us "Selfish Isn't Elfish"

have a terrible problem with the snowman "sparkling" had read that there is some sort of issue with white shapes doing this? His lines actually change frame to frame. But then I figured , hey, its snow!! (happened as well last year on the snowflakes in the other video same page.

Thank you, Ara

How can I save a character image in png or jpeg format?
I want to create characters for making AGS games. I use gimp for processing images. I use png.

I'm assuming you can't use Ctrl-R...Simplest is to use Microsoft Paint. Get your image with PrtScr, fire up Paint and then just press Ctrl-V -- contents of clipboard that you loaded with PrtScr will be pasted into Paint. Use Selection tool for the bit of image that you want, then Ctrl-C, Ctrl-N,N, Ctrl-V again and you have your screen shot. Paint can save in a number of formats.
