When I do a mouth it doesn't look like the audio and the mouth are in sync ! It looks like the mouth is moving faster than the audio - Can anyone indicate why theirs such a difference in the programs mouths and mine -It might just be the art , I'm not sure - lol
I attached a sample -

A couple of things you need to know. First, AS doesn't save copies of external assets like audio or image files but rather links to these on your computer. So your example doesn't have the audio file with it. If you have AS78 or 8, you can use the gather media function to make a file with all the external assets, linked properly to one folder that can then be shared easily. But to your question, double click on the audio layer, choose the audio tab and enter a text translation in the box. Next, you need to re-name the REST and ETC layers to lower case i.e. rest and etc, the built in lip-sync feature uses those names, all the others are upper case. If you don't get the results you want, you can download PAPAGAYO, a program that will generate a DAT. file from a WAV. audio file. This program was created by Mike C., the main guy for Anime Studio programing, and allows you to tweek the phonemes to achieve better results.

Yeah that helped a lot - especially after exported - I got the tutorial from here but someone took it down -
http://support.smithmicro.com/cs/smkb.c ... faqid=2340
It had the the first letters being upped case in etc and rest and e and ( Except Ai was named AI ) -
OK I named the audio file and mouth layer files and got pretty good results for my first mouth -

Shows the mouth sticking -
BUT
I had one more quick question though ! After the text in the audio file plays is it suppose to go back to the rest layer in the switch folder or do I need to create an action - Yes - It's easy to create the switch action but generally most files go back to the rest as a default - Mine sticks on the U Layer-

The Ai should be AI and e should be E. It didn't look like you entered the text translation. check this update to your file.

Sorry - I can't open the pro version - Of course I own debut - I think everythings named right in the mouth and their in the proper layer structure now but I don't understand entering the text translation - I'll bounce over to utube and try to find something but if you get a second can you tell me what that is !

you are welcome. If you get the chance you should check out PAPAGAYO. It's the best way to get good lip-sync and its not that hard to learn.
