So in pixelmator Ive tried again and again to make the red the same color and it is, in pixelmator and apple's preview application, but the red obviously isn't the same.
Any suggestions?

I've found copying the exact hex values the best way to get the same colours in all program.

Remember that exporting in video changes colours dependent on the codec.
