I've been using ASP on Linux since the the good ol' Moho days, up through ASP 6, but haven't really been keeping up with the latest releases. Has Smith Micro completely abandoned the Linux platform now? Sucks if they have.

Yup, abandoned since V6. You can still run AS with wine though.

Quite well. I use it in production. See WineHq listing for my review of whats working and not (most things do).

I have some compiz/input issues at times that I haven't reported there yet but they are really minor and easily fixed by an ASrestart.

I use it pretty much 8hr/day without any major hassle.

Not having much luck yet... missing Windows runtime DLLs but winetricks isn't installing them correctly.

I got everything installed correctly and can start ASP, but it locks up when it shows the startup dialog and the content library window, and I think that content library window is going into some infinite loop that is locking out the app (going by the console output). Is there a way to prevent that window from opening via a config file or similar? This has happened on two separate Ubuntu Studio 11.04 (64-bit) machines.

EDIT: The problem was solved by installing Adobe Reader 9.5. Working perfectly now!
