I regret to inform the forum that I have just heard of the passing of Tim Francis AKA Rhoel.

He will be sadly missed.

Oh that's terrible and sad news! I felt real shock on reading that.

I was recently involved with Tim landing a new animation contract so I am still aghast and cannot believe it. He was a talented animator and writer and great contributer to this forum. Apparently he had a heart condition for some years. My thoughts also go out to his family.

Rhoel was a great guy, this community owes him a lot.
Please tell family and friends we estimate and admire Rhoel and really gonna miss him.

Guys, it seems I simply wanted to believe you were talking about he abandoned the forum or something like that. I had to read your posts several times indeed to really get it, and believe it... I think I'm not able to find the right words to express my self in this situations, but I feel very sad for this lost. Of course, my thoughts are with his family and friends too.

Tim was a camera operator at "Asterix in America" at Hahn Film in Berlin in 1995. This is where I met hiim, and it was a nice surprise to meet him again here in the forum.
