.. this is possible, ain`t it? though i didn`t make it work yet..or I´m doing a s.th. wrong..
- creating a bonelayer - dragging the vectorlayer in it (bonelayer turns red for a second)
- activating the bonelayer and adding bones

this should do it IF it works, right ?

forw

Of course it works. just make sure you're at frame 0 and you should have no problem adding bones.

Hello forw.

I don't understand "after having finished the animation" ?

Bones are usually used for creating the animation in the first place.

I've created a small mini-tutorial on adding bones that shows adding bones.
Is this of any use ?

Regards, Myles.

Often I will create an animation, render it as a quicktime, and then squash and stretch the quicktime .mov using bones. Gives me a kind of psychedelic effect. Just one more trick in the toolbox.

Cool idea, gochris.

In my experience, adding bones after an animation can be a headache and cause all sorts of problems. The new bones are going to interact with the bones you've already animated in unpredictable ways. Same goes for creating new vector shapes. I would create an ordinary vector drawing in frame 0 and then go to the first frame in which it becomes visible and the points would be all over the place for some reason.

Plan ahead. Don't do what I did.

hi!

thanks for the movie!
i know this procedure but when i opened the thread i was doing something
wrong, so that i couldn`t add any bones ?!don`t know.

now that i know the program better I´ve done some short animations ..drawn my character..put in the bones..making him walk etc. ..when i wanted to add a feather on the hat of the guy after having done all that, strange things like MARKBOROK says happen.
maybe planing ahead is a good way to avoid strange things happening..

ciao,
forw
