When I am animating a character, is it possible to have different sub-sets of animation?
What am trying to say, is lets say I have an animation of a man. I animate the man raising his hand to say Hi, and this is the only movement he makes. The I make an animation of him turning his head. Now maybe sometimes I want to use one of these by themselves, but maybe sometimes I want to use them both at the same time.
I guess it can be equivalent to animation layers, sometimes i only want one, sometimes I want to mix and match.
Is there an easy way to accomplish this?

Layers, bones. Both give you different timelines, and you can easily place keys everywhere in time.
