Hello,

I am planning on purchasing a new computer in the foreseeable future but presently have a 32 bit Win XP set-up (P4 3gig processor, 3 gigs ram, 6200 geforce 512 mg). I read that Pro 9 gives you a choice to run either 32 or 64 bit but wondering if anyone here has tried it on a 32 bit computer and if your results were satisfactory? Just wondering if i should wait to upgrade to 9 after purchasing 64 bit machine.

Thanks for any insight.

I use AS9 on 32bit Vista and its great. In fact, other than performance enhancements when using images at 64bit, there's a downside that Apple haven't released 64bit quicktime, which makes quicktime export and mp3 import unavailable in the 64bit version (but you can still open/run 32bit version on 64bit OS to export)

Unless you are using a lot of RAM heavy resources like big images and video footage etc, you will probably not notice much of a difference (not that i've tried 64bit yet but 32bit feels snappy enough :))
