Library vs. "just saving"

Hi,
I'm new here and to animation and just go into Anime Pro 9.
So I've been obsessed with this thing and have done a lot of playing around with
and explored everywhere so it seems; though, I keep running into new stuff everyday.
With that that said, I was looking at the library feature and found it quite
handy; yet, it seems quite quirky. For example, I can't seem to remove items that
I place there. Plus, it seems to take much longer to work with than importing
from a saved Anime object.
So why would on use the Library feature over just saving the files in a folder
and importing them as needed?
Thanks
