Problem importing media in AS pro 9 in MAC OSX 10.6.8

Okay. Wer'e having a problem with Anime Studio 9 that we hadn't with previous version 8. I'm afraid about this issue cause have been searching in forums while being patient for a solution from the Smith Micro staff and I haven't seen the topic anywhere.

We use MAC OS and it has been months since we purchased AS 9 and we can't import movies of any type for reference til today. The imported movie runs slow and makes all the project run slow along with it. Not just that but the audio is not imported with the file. We tried with MP4, MOV, AVI etc and everything is the same. Plus, it has an audio issue attached to this problem wich seems to be the reason for the mute videos: Our AS 9 only support wav files.

It's a very problematic issue cause we have many MP3 libraries and various projects that need video import. There's no sense in suggesting to import the video file and the wav file for the audio separately cause it's too much a complication. We finished some short works that we made entirely in AS 8 but some others are stucked cause those were started in AS 9 and developed normally until the video importing was needed so theres a big part of the project stucked. It can't be opened with previous versions either.


Tell me, fellows, did we missed some important patch? A fix or something? We already downloaded AS 9.1 and 9.2... and there isn't any improvement. Also, there's someone with this problem? There is any temporary fix. We're unmotivated, disappointed and frustrated. It's no fair to be using the 8 version having the 9 with all the new features...
