It's all a bit slow

Hi Chaps
Already used Papagayo 1.1 on a very short lip sync and found it superb. But now just trying to sync up a 'peice to camera' and scrubbing and play back etc seems very slow, to the extent that it's proving very difficult to finish. My machine is a good spec Mac and I'm using a .wav format. I can't really cut it down any more as time and layout won't really allow. If anyone has any suggestions that may help then I'd really appreciate them.
