We finished a trilogy of childrens films this new year that is about to have it's theatrical release soon. March 22 in about 25 cinemas around Sweden.
The trilogy is called "Djurvännerna" (Animal Friends) and is based on books by Eva Lindström. The individual films is "A Birds Day" about two bird childrens adventures during an normal bird day, "I run away" about a cheep that runs away from her herd and "My Friend Lage" about an owl who left his home in the dark woods to become a city dweller.
The trilogy is 3x12 minutes and is traditional digital cut-out with scanned hand drawn images animated in Anime Studio.
The animation production time was about 18 months with a small crew. Eva Lindström did all images, about 3 archival cardboard boxes full and I did animation direction as well as a large part of the animation. I had one full time animator, Natalia Figueroa, and a few short term production assistants.
This trailer shows a few scenes from each film:

The head turn on the sheep is fairly sophisticated for cut-out, quite enjoyed the samples!

I think kids will love this. I like the cut - out style animation and designs. Hopefully we will get the chance to see the finished films at some point.

This work, like your previous work, Miss Remarkable and her Career, is unique and wonderful. One of the best exponents of Anime Studio. Congratulations.
