You have to save in Illustrator 8 format. Is that still possible in CS6?

Possible file formats for import are listed in the manual:
JPEG
BMP
PSD
PNG
TGA
EPS, AI
(It should be mentioned in the manual that AI means AI 8 format!)

Excellent remark, slowtiger. At first I thought .ai is supported as is - but still it has to be in AI 8 format.

*yes, saving as AI 8 is still available in CS6.

It doesn't matter if AI 8 is old or not. AS doesn't support advanced features in Adobe Illustrator anyway so it wouldn't make a difference if it supported CS6 or not. No gradients, no mesh distortion, etc etc. As long as AI can save to older versions that AS supports there is no compelling reason to recode that functionality in Anime Studio.

It's the same with EPS or PDF export from AI. You can save with editing features or strip out editing features. You can save in different versions of EPS or PDF for other applications.

The only reason you would need CS6 support in Anime Studio importing is if you don't have Adobe Illustrator to convert the files. I suppose that could be an issue, but if you don't have Adobe Illustrator those files wouldn't be much use anyway. If you have a bunch of these files, you could download the AI trial and save them all out to v8.

But when i convert det file to EPS or Ai8 the result isn't chat i whant. I find it much easyer to draw in Illustrator. but when i convert to EPS or Ai8 i lost the layers and the color. I is hard to explain.

Here is one of the files
https://www.dropbox.com/s/850nkhw009plrho/filmen2.ai

The best i can do is to convert to psd but then i lost the vektorgraphic.

I don't see anything which would be impossible to do in AS. Make a bitmap image and trace it in AS, you'll need to get aquainted with its tools anyway in order to produce good animation.

For a fast animation workflow I'd recommend to produce 1 texture of the leaves which gets incorporated into the bushes by masking.

BTW nice style.

The real problem is that it is not me who draw and the artist use Illustrator. The animation later is my problem.
