Masking w/Exclude Stroke problem

USING AS 9.5
SETUP:
---FOLDER(MASK-HIDE ALL)
---------VECTOR_1 (+ADD TO MASK and EXCLUDE STROKE ACTIVATED also make sure to hide one of the strokes overlapping the bottom vector)
---VECTOR_2 (This vector should be overlapped by the above)
When I render this, I get a white line appearing where my hidden stroke should be.
I've been playing with this and I've found that if you use the line width tool and set the width of the stroke to zero, you can get the same effect.
