exempt layer from global rendring style?

Hi I love the global rendering options in project settings that allows one to change the style of an entire prject to cutout or heavy outline. I work on a project where I felt that the whole animation was quite good, but just needed a little more edge to be really cool. And by selecting "cutout" I litterally got the edge :)

Anywho, is there a way to excempt some layers in the project from the effect of the global rendering style? In this particular project I use rain and snow particle effects, and I would like the rendering style not to be applied to those effects. Is there a way to do that?

AS doesn't have controls for this. But you can render as many subsets of your project as you want by just switching visibility on/off. Take care to render all these in best quality with alpha, then import them into a new project for compositing.

Example:
- several layers with render effect (+alpha)
- some layers without effect (+alpha)
- some more layers with render effect
will give you 3 video files.
