What can cause V10 to crash during a render?

I've been using anime studio for awhile now and have dealt with my fair share of render problems. I usually delete all the high res PNG files when a render crashes and that fixes the problem, but this time, that isn't working. So, what else can cause a render to crash?
Thank you!!!

Fixed it!!!!! Finally! Not deleting the thread because this may also help someone.
What I did was completely optimized my animation file. I deleted every hidden layer (items I didn't end up using), I removed heavy switch layers (For example: Hands. I have 30 some hands in a switch layer, so I erased every single one that wasn't used in the animation), and I rendered as PNG files instead of an uncompressed AVI/Movie File. This way I could continue the render after it crashed.
To get the audio, I rendered out an uncompressed AVI at 128x72 (low form of 16:9). I then connected the image sequence in quicktime pro (better for PNGs than after effects (I know, surprising)) and then through the audio from the low res version under it. BAM!
Starting file 178 mb
OPTIMIZED 67 mb
Rendering faster and no crashes. Hope this eventually helps someone! Been messing with it for the past 4 hours.
