Change the shading color in a 3d vector layer?

I see a "shading color" icon that displays the shading color but how do I change it? The shading is too dark and just clicking on the area where it displays the current color isn't doing anything.

Yeah, don't really understand this one either, but it seems that shade color is only selectable with the "hatched" style...
Why? ...
Because that's the only style it will actually be applied to.
Why?...
Well, we can go down a rabbit hole of strangeness with AS 3D approach... but for now, all I can offer up is that it is far more difficult to tailor 3D Anime Studio settings to the look your going for than to tailor your look to what AS will allow. It's just
simulating 3D in many ways, so the shortcuts are limiting and the legwork is on you.
