Hi,

Couldn't find the topic out there so here goes.

How do you guys link scene A to scene B ?
Do you export 2 different movies and then use some 3rd party software to link the movie files together ?

For example ... I have 4 walking scenes to create a walking character movie ... 3/4 view, side view, front view and back view.
My movie starts out with the side view walk, then the next scene is the back view, then the front view and finally the 3/4 view.

I actually created 4 different movies and then used Free Video Joiner to merge the files together and create one movie ... I cannot believe this is the way to do this. It seems a lot of hassle and was curious how you do this.

Yes.

You can also build all four scenes in Anime Studio, putting each in a group layer. Then use the group layer's visibility to turn it on or off, effectively changing between scenes. It's pretty easy to accomplish, but the longer the scene, the exponentially longer the render time is.

I'll try out the group layer thing... My views are pretty complex and each view has dozens of actions/bones/etc ... I hope it won't crash having that many objects.
I have noticed that having bigger projects makes the program pretty buggy (as in preview not working correctly whereas the actual render looks fine, or not showing the points I want to grab... until now the only way to fix it was to restart the program).

FYI, using ASP 10.1 on a new generation IMAC so I guess my system is more than powerful enough to handle it.

Animation programs usually hold 1 scene per file. Finished scenes are exported as video clips, which are assembled in video editing programs, where the sound is added as well. This is the professional workflow.
