Hey guys,

ive been versed in blender3d and other programs, and i own xara xtreme. I want to be able to easily export my xara vector drawings into moho. so far i havent been able to figure it out. Can someone help?

Thinking of purchasing moho eventually.

Thanks

..same way I'm importing my Freehand vector graphics. Export it as an Adobe Illistrator file.

Then file import AI.

I have the demo of Xara, I just did a quick sample, worked fine.

Well, I used Xara to import graphics into Flash a while back, and it never preserved transparency then...

To my knowledge Moho only imports solid colors and vector points.
In my humble opinion you are much better off learning the drawing tools that exist in Moho. Yes, there are better tools in other applications but learning the work flow in the native application is in the long run a better approach. The next thing is to keep asking through Lost Marble forums for better drawing tools!
(They appear to listen and respond, believe it or not.)

I have to agree, I'm likeing Xara alot. To bad I already have Macromedia, and Illistrator.

From my board research. I think only the simple things are going to be able to come over, no transparances, gradiants, anything like that.

The only way around it is to import it as PNG files, and then use the png as a layer. so you are no longer manipulating vector images in moho, but raster graphics.

From the sounds of it, there doesn't really seem to be a vector standard that everyone follows, so it will never be able to work well. I'm also writing this for my benifit to make sure I got it right.

i'll be okay with this, though. I just wont use gradients on the characters...

ill just have to test out the demo and see whats going on

i appreciate all your help

i do want to avoid retracing or drawing in moho however :D
