If you have 50 different shapes on the same vector layer, all shapes have the same color (so it's really hard to see with you eye which is which), is it possible to select only one at the time for editing, in a simple way?
In the style window I have all shapes as number but when I select one of them it will not be selected in the main window.
edit:
sorry for that, the shapes get selected but not the points, I would like to have the same selecting behavior regarding points for the shapes as when selecting the shapes in the style window....is it possible to do that?

I'm pretty sure all you need to do is use the select points tool (I'm talking about the button with the little dotted box on it, it's like the first button out of all the drawing tool button things) and just click in the middle of your shape, the same way you would when using the select shapes tool button thing that you were using. Hope that does what you want it to do
P.S. I'm no expert but I think 50 indentically-coloured shapes on one vector layer might be asking for trouble

The thing is that some of the shapes are on top of others and when they are, the point select tool will not work. I could do like this:
1. select shape in styles window
2. raise the shape to top, with raise shape tool
3. select all points by clicking in the middle of the shape with select points tool, but I would like it to be a more easy task to do, and maybe there is an more easy way to do it but I don't know if and how.
