Could someone tell me if any version of Anime Studio is able to import a Manga Studio document and retain editable vector lines?

Anime Studio doesn't import native Manga Studio files, and I'm pretty sure Manga Studio cannot export vector files. So the answer is 'no', unfortunately.

All you can do is save as a PSD and import the raster art.
Having said that ASP supports the PSD format very well.
You can trace using the vector ASP tools, it's a pain I know, but toon boom has even more issues with importing vectors.

I like the ASP vector tools better than the Manga Studio ones personally. Changing line width for example is so much nicer in ASP.

Hmmm :? actually the MS tools are soooo much more advanced but ASP is catching up by every release.
The MS line width is tricky to find though sure, but generally it is much more flexible with far more options and far far superior in freehand responsiveness with pressure to opacity and corner pointing.

I agree...Manga Studio EX gives you a much deeper level of 'noodle mania' for line weights and shape editing. That's both a blessing and a curse if you tend to be obsessive about details. Sometimes too much power can be counter productive. Watch any of my old Manga Studio EX timelapse movies and you'll see what I mean. :P

I also agree that it's too bad MS EX doesn't output vectors.

Just putting it out there but Illustrator has some pretty decent auto trace and other conversion tools, so you could use it as an intermediate step from Manga Studio. But, IMO, you'll be better off just importing the bitmap version.

I dunno, dealing with the vector line line in Manga is fine and all, but drawing with vectors just isn't as easy as ASP for me (meaning placing individual points at a time), and shapes aren't handled in the same way, ie. you can draw a vector and fill it using another layer, but then afterwards if you manipulate the lines the fill has to be dealt with. I figure for static images you are right, Manga is better, but working with animation I much prefer the line being bound to the shape on the same layer. It would be a PITA if in ASP it functioned like it does in Manga Studio.

It would be really great to see these two apps integrated more, I hope that Photoshop updating gets worked out so that works like it does with PS. I'd love to see the perspective tools adopted in ASP too.
