window recording wont work.

ASP 11 Windows 7 32 and 64 bit.
The windows audio recording will not record.
I select my mic, and press record, but when I play it back, there is no sound. When I save the file, there is a file, but no sound. I've tested to see if my mic was set up properly with other programs, and it is, but ASP wont record my mic(s).
Edit:...The only way it works is if you have it record from a default mic. If you set a mic that isn't default, it will not work.
