I am wondering what alternate drawing tools are available as scripts, specifically I'd like something like the Add Point tool that automatically drew a line without having to add a shape separately. Like the Freehand tool was mixed with the add point tool.

you have my shape tools? (viewtopic.php?f=12&t=27459) ... do you mean something like the behaviour of the multi-point line but that rather than starting with a given number of points, it starts with 2 then adds points at set intervals (up to some maximum)? or the same tool but just with a lower minimum of 2 rather than 3 points?

I think he means an add point tool that has auto-stroke and merge strokes options.
