Haha it was a few weeks when I posted the first video I'd played with 2.5D animation in Flash so I understood the fundamentals. I followed the Smith Micro tutorial with the Pickle Man to get used to the drawing tools and stuff (The example rigs you've uploaded came in damn handy too). Other than that there was a lot of trial and error and general shouting at the computer screen trying to understand why limbs weren't bending the right way until it worked.

Thanks, hopefully i'll have some more Half Full out soon, it's been a while since the last episode :p

This is the first thing that I had a go at animating.

That's a good demo, well done. Although I feel the nebbish charm of the original Billy is missing in this version. The thicker neck and smaller hair make him look more like a jock. I imagine the final version will be more on model.

Haha He does look a bit jockish in that video. It was a bit of a nightmare trying to suss out how that hairstyle would work in a 3D space! I think I might get away with it doing a bit of a quick flick.
