1. Imagine your character in 3D. Draw him/her/it from a number of different angles...
2. Make a simplified model and use that as a basis for character studies
3, "Draw" it in 3D with Teddy(search this forum for links), then spin it in space and draw it from different angles

One of these should get you started...

jahnocli - Can you post some sample "3D" animations you did using Teddy and Moho to show us how your method works?
:D

I downloaded Teddy and the applet version worked in Safari (no safe option). So you can look, but not work with it :(

Normally, Java applications are crossplatform, but this one is proprietary, probably because it uses calls to the Windows system, instead of Java classes.

You gave us all a step-by-step method of how to do it, the one person even asked you to elaborate on part 3 of your method -
jahnocli:
1. Imagine your character in 3D. Draw him/her/it from a number of different angles...
2. Make a simplified model and use that as a basis for character studies
3, "Draw" it in 3D with Teddy(search this forum for links), then spin it in space and draw it from different angles
I figured you had created an animation based on what you gave a description of doing.

------------------

By the way, Teddy kind of sucks. :D

Hmmm... Not sure what that "kind of" means in this case,
but basically the developer has got a great vision, ain't he?
I could never get teddy to work with my computer, but i basically think the idea of this program is great.
Maybe the technical realization is what "kind of sucks"?! :?

Anyway to the question posted here:
i think it is the easiest (and i personally think the best) way is to sketch your character from different angles (back view; 135° Left; 90° Left; 45°Left; front view; 45° Right; 90° Right; 135° Right) and then trace it into moho.
The trick is, to use basic shapes instead of complex and confusing ones.
Of course the tracing process would depend on how you set up your bones, if you were going to use them.

mr. blaaa: I could never get teddy to work with my computer,...

You got it - that´s why it kind of sucks. What good is it if it doesn´t work?
---------
Regarding the original poster - could it be that he/she thinks that Moho is a 3D program?

Yeah, i guess he thinks one can turn/rotate vectors in 3D!?
Maybe. It reads a lot like that.
