lines/cracks through points?

Don't know if this has been discussed before or not, but I noticed something by accident and it is bugging me a little. This might be one for the people with OCD
So upon doing some renders I noticed there were dark pixels appearing directly beneath/on top of where I added points in strokes. To test this in AS you can make a simple line as a stroke and just add a lot of points to it, hit render and zoom in to the line, you should see vertical lines going right through the stroke.
I made a sample image showing what I mean, it's just a stroke with extra points added in. If you find it hard to see you can import it into an image editor and use the paint bucket tool to try and fill it on low tolerance.
Here's the image - http://s8.postimg.org/h96kw8tat/cracks2.jpg and one of the moon crater from the night sky template, look around the bottom area - http://s24.postimg.org/qvb4m7vj9/cracks.jpg
This is not happening due to zooming in, they appear to always be there. Anyone know what this is? Is it just the way the program works?
