Photoshop File issue

Hello all,

Just installed my new AS pro 11, very excited, but the first thing I went to go to work with gave me a conundrum. I imported a PSD and ASP asked me if I wanted it individually layered or a composite, I chose individual layers so I could rig the individual elements, but when I did that, the file came into ASP without any of the photoshop effects applied (hours of work Poof, gone), but when I imported it as a composite, all the effects are there, but then I can't rig the individual elements because it is now a single layer. So, my question is "Is there a way to import the individual layers with all of their photoshop effects?"

Thanks,

(got my fingers crossed)

Could you flatten or convert them to 'smart objects' in PS? FX won't be imported otherwise.

Thx, I'll give it a try and see how it goes.

Thanks, Flattening them worked on 90+% of the layers, so I can live with that.

Thanks JezJones for the guidance,

Now does anyone know if there's a way to completely block out the outside camera images, ctrl j used to work perfect, but now it still shows a shaded version of what's outside the camera, reeeeeaaally distracting, like someone opening a crinkly candy wrapper in a quite room, only visually.

I think I can help with that one too:
Edit > Preferences > Editor Colours > View oputput only > Change the transparency (and colour if you want).
