How do I import a psd??

I'm using Anime Studio Debut 11. I figure out how to import a psd with layers. Do I have to save each layer as an image then import each layer? That would seem over the top, but it won't import a psd. Am I missing a step?

Did you use the script in photoshop? "Export Layers To Anime Studio.jsx" comes with Anime Studio.
Have a look in the help pdf for more info.

Okay, that was pretty helpful, but didn't get me all the way there.
There is no "run scripts" option in PS Elements 11. I've tried every kind of search I can to figure out how to run the script in PE 11, but have yet to find any help there. Still looking...

OK, I've just tested this with PSE11 and it seems to work - just open the .jsx file from file > open in PS. It will save a .anme file. Just make sure the first layer is visible and that you have more than one layer. Click OK if the trim box pops up. Background layers aren't transparent.
You should then be able to import/open the saved file.

Thanks. Tried that, but it won't open .jsx files. This is a drag!

I wonder why it's not working then. What is your setup?
I've tested with Photoshop Elements 11 to 14 and it works fine for me (Windows 7, and 10, 64bit)
I've put a few screenshots here:

Great tutorial. Sadly, still doesn't get me there. Opening the .jsx file isn't an option (see screen shot).
I'm on a Mac Yosemite 10.10.5

I see, on my Mac (10.11.1 - with PE14), if I change the 'Enable:' from 'All Readable Documents' to 'All Documents' I can open the script. Also when the script asks for a name to save as, you need to include the extension .anme at the end of your filename or it will just create a folder with images. I've updated the tutorial to include this.
Could you try?
