Slanted Transform - Jumping when Paste-ing/ Grouping

Hey! I've been making progress, but I've hit some things that I'm not sure how to approach.
I drew a head on an angle (in several pieces, so the way I leveled it out was with the Transform Layer tool on the group layer), but now when I go to Transform Points on any of the layers, it won't let me just pull them RIGHT. It's on the original slant that I drew it on, and then rotated.

I want to pull all the points the direction of the red arrow, but you can see that i wants me to pull them diagonally up or down. Is there any way of re-leveling this?
Also, I've found that when I group stuff (Group with Selection), they'll not be in the place they were, and I'll have to hit "Reset" up top to get them back to where they were. Why does Grouping things make them move?
Just now I just tried to copy the contents of my Face layer and paste them into a new layer, and got this...
Why does it not put it where it was originally?
Anyway, I'm slowly getting there, and this is all workaround-able, but if there's a way to fix this stuff, I'd love to know it. Thanks!
