Tutorial 3.4 AS 11 and safe charakters with bones

Dear All
I am a newbie

Question 1:
I just did Tutorial 3.4 (Character Setup) and like it very much the only annoying thing is that the character is always split apart in frame 0. It contrast the Mister Bean character (Tutorial 3.6) seems mapped with bones in the same manner but not split apart in frame 0. How is this done?

Question 2:
Is there a way to safe characters with bones and all the other things like actions etc. and import them to new projects?

2: You can import the topmost layers from any project into your current project.

Hi, welcome to the forum :)

In the past, we were forced to split apart the character in frame zero in order to rig it.
That is not necessary anymore since the inclusion of the new "Use selected bones for Flexi-Binding" option.
Yo use you need to follow this simple steps:

- Select the layer you want
- Select the bones you want
- Go to the menu Bone - Use Selected bones for Flexi-Binding

Now that layer will only moved and bent by the bones you defined.
Repeat the process with all the layers you want. By the way, you can use the same bone(s) on different layers, there's no limit about that.
