Just new here.. I am also very new to digi cartoons so bare with me. I like MOHO a lot actually. I still use the demo version, just to check things out, but i think this program will be my tool.
I am not only interested in cartoons, but also (logo) design in general. I think MOHO does a great job there too.
There is one point now i think about it, that is bothering me a little.. When drawing jagged lines with sharp corners, MOHO seems to make them blunt. I understand why, but sometimes i want real traight corners. I can of course create shapes to perform this task, but i was just wondering if more people have noticed this.

When you use the
Add Point tool, select the
Sharp corners checkbox to have sharp corners. Unselect this checkbox to have blunt corners for the next points you add.
If you only want some corners to be sharp in a drawing you already made, select the points in those corners and use the
Point tool. If you want some corners to be blunt, select the relevant points and use the
Smooth tool. You can adjust the amount of sharpness of selected points with the
Curvature tool.
Relevant tools in the toolbar:

Peak tool (you can also use P on the keyboard to select this tool)

Smooth tool (you can also use M on the keyboard to select this tool)

Curvature tool (you can also use C on the keyboard to select this tool)
Have fun using Moho!

Thanks Rasheed!
I am a bit picky i guess but i mean somthing more specific. I will show you the corner that MOHO draws:

And this is how i would like it to be!

Here's one option for you:
1. Remove the outlines completely from your shapes
2. Duplicate your vector layer
3. Change the color of the shapes in the layer behind to your outline color
4. Scale the layer behind up to taste.
Sample corner with outlines

Moho file

Thanks Macton! Great hint.
Is this how 'pros' draw stuff like this? I mean, looking "powerpuffgirls" kinda
style? I love those drawings.. anyone know what they use? pencil/paper or computer graph...

@macton, that doesn't always work:
In this case you also have to translate some of the points in the "back layer" to make it work.
Like so:
And sometime you may need to add extra points as well. This particularly make using bones a bit complicated. But I guess if you animate the stuff, the sharpness of corners isn't so critical anymore. One would need a real sharp eye (no pun intended) to spot out a blunted corner in an animation. This is probably the reason why Moho's outlines aren't as sharp as the fills. LM has cut some corners here (still no pun intended).

They should have the same sharpness now with the new renderer. In the past, small outlines in particular weren't very shape, but they should be now. But that's kind of separate from the corners issue. The right solution for corners is for Moho to have different options for joining sharp corners: i.e. rounded, sharp, blunt, etc.

Another idea which has been mentioned before is to use the layer shadow options. Here I set the line color alpha to 0, then in Shadows/Layer Shading I set the alpha to 255 to get this ...
Only issue with this way is the shading direction which which results in thinner to thicker line based on the direction. May be useful in some situations.

My question came from design point of view. I just tried several drawing/design packages and none has the variable linewidth option that is so great in MOHO. They all use shapes for variable width.
In MOHO, dragging your mouse to manipulate the thickness is great! But maybe i have to stick to Freehand for the design work, and later transfer that to MOHO when animation is requered.

Actually, if you user layer shading and set the "Offset" value to zero for the shading, then it isn't directional at all, so that issue goes away. Use different values for "Contraction" to make thinner or thicker outlines.

Guys, i am still puzzled by the "corner problem". I include a picture i took from
http://www.worldofwassco.com (respect!!) which i find, illustrates my point of view. Now, as i am a fully non-professional cartoonist/designer i cannot get info 'from inside' the computer animation bizz so i have to rely on you guys!
So again, i guess these drawings are not done with Moho, so the link to Moho is vague. But i guess its an interesting cartoon issue. But with WHAT drawing programm is it done? Notice the far right character is holding "After Effects". Is this the typical AE style??
Help please! I need to know my tools

Its hard telling wich program them characters was made with.
Them characters can be made in MOHO, But alot of people make there characters in photoshop, Or paint pro ect...
I just use moho to make my characters
