I made a .png brush (128px * 128px) and put that into custom brush folder.

I can use it, but for some reason I can't change the stroke color on it.

Is it normal? All the other seemingly similar default brushes accept the change. Does anybody know how it's done?

There's a checkbox when you select the brush: "tint brush using stroke color".

Thanks a lot Slowtiger, found it.

First I thought why there is such option, but then it's just obvious. Just didn't know to look for this.
