Layer becomes see-through when it overlaps itself.

Hi all.

I have rigged a character with bones, and have now discovered that when a layer overlaps itself it becomes see-through.
Why is this ?

Can I do something to fix it ? - without having to create a separate layer for the forearm and the upper arm ?

I Opened a character from the library and that character does not seem to have the same problem, and I don't know what the difference is, so I can't fix it.
I hope someone can help

Regards..

That's normal behaviour.

Solution: body parts which overlap should be separate shapes. There's a bunch of tricks to have them appear as being a single shape.

Thanks slowtiger

I look into separating the layer into two

If you use anime studio pro 9 or later you can use smartbones

If using Pro 8 or eariler
This might help

The audio is text to speech(robotic)
but it is informative

But for me I normally divide the arm in three layerd or separate shapes
Top, Bottom, and hand

Tip: Everthing rotates or bend better when the joints are formed on a circle
