Can Anime Studio do this sort of thing easily...?

I can use the blob brush to paint say the stripes on a shape, but any overlap, I can't figure out how to delete...

That can be easily done with masking

This video might help, masking can be done in any version of anime studio

As well with combining blob brush with the freehand tool, which has the options for trimming edges.
