OK, so my new problem now is this: I have a reference layer that (obviously) refers to another layer with a chosen color scheme. The reference layer needs to be a different color scheme, which I changed it to on frame 0. When I scrub through the timeline, I see the new color scheme and when I do a quick preview render (still frame) I also see the new color scheme applied to the reference layer. The problem is that when I render out a quicktime movie of the entire scene, I get the old color scheme on all but one of the shapes.

Has anyone else had this issue and if so, how did you resolve it?

I'd have to see an example file to troubleshoot the problem.
