Floating Character Hand...Help

Post by skyetaylor102 »

i am using Anime Studio Debut 10 - I created a character on outside software and imported it in piece by piece as body part images. then I rig it with bones...it works fine everytime except this time. I created a switch layer for my hands. When i move my arm straight up the hand follows...when I bend the arm at the elbow the hand drifts away either up or down. I check it and all the arrows indicate it is connected to the forearm but when I bend the forearm up the hand drifts down...bend it down and the hand drifts up....LOL...been struggling for a day to resolve this...any suggestions? my basement ceiling isn't tall enough or I would hang myself and I want to really live long enough to be a burden on my kids.

Maybe your bone strength is too strong? If both arm bone regions cover the hand, you'll get that behavior. If that's not it, go into orbit view and make sure the layers are all flat on the z-axis, or maybe you have an odd bone constraint set up.
