Custom Keyboard Shortcuts don't work

Hi everyone, I'm very frustrated. I'm trying to set a keyboard shortcut to zoom in to the timeline and it simply doesn't work. I press the keys and nothing. It's not conflicting with anything else. Also, is there a keyboard shortcut for moving up and down the layer list? I'm still on ASP 11.

Thanks

Unfortunately, I don't think you can do that with a shortcut. The current command for Zoom In/Out Timeline (Alt-Shift +/-) only works for the Motion Graph Editor and it only zooms numeric values, not time.

It's a good idea though..I've wanted that too. At the very least, I feel there should be a modifier + zoom wheel/stylus option for zooming in/out the main timeline. The buttons on the right work well enough but when I'm trying to focus in a certain region of the screen, I like to avoid jumping around to different parts of the screen to click buttons.

Thanks for the reply. I come from a background of video editing and so I love my shortcuts. I feel like I could fly through this program with the right keyboard shortcuts, such as zooming into the timeline and cycling through the layers. It's a shame they don't put as much importance on it. How's Moho 12 in this regard? Any improvements?

I agree. When I'm on a desktop computer with a keyboard and mouse, I prefer to use shortcuts and modifiers as much as I can, especially in animation programs, because it helps me stay focused on what I'm working on.

The buttons are nice when I don't have a keyboard attached, like when I'm using a tablet computer, but then I'm using a stylus to navigate the screen/UI, which can be quicker than a mouse.

Either way, it would be good to have shortcut availability for all the tools. Even on the tablet computer, I like to assign commands to on-screen buttons, but I still need the shortcuts to do this.

The shortcut system in Moho isn't bad. I have a number of custom shortcuts assigned to features that don't have shortcuts assigned by default, and I've been able to reassign some default shortcuts to favor the left hand side of the keyboard so I don't have to take my right hand off the mouse or put down my stylus. That said, some commands and tools can't be accessed by shortcuts yet (as you've discovered.)

There are some improvements in 12 for shortcuts and I understand more is coming. Unfortunately, a shortcut for timeline zooming (as we want it,) isn't one of them in the current release of 12.
