Keyboard shortcut inconsistency

I'm posting here before logging it as an issue officially, in case.

The keyboard shortcuts are very inconsistent. About 60% of the time they work fine, but sometimes for apparently no reason I'll just get a beep instead.

For example, I will be editing a vector, and will want to fill, so I hit P for the Paint tool (BEEP), P again (BEEP), then I might click anywhere on the stage and hit P again and it will work, or else I'll just click the Paint icon directly, which will always work.

Another really aggravating one: I'll start hitting Ctrl-Arrow to nudge a layer around. It will work a few times, then all of a sudden it will start beeping at me instead. I can click on the screen and start Ctrl-Arrowing again and it will work, but this feels like a bug to me.

Comments?

The main window must have mouse focus for it to read a tool shortcut. So if you just did something in the Actions window, you'll need to click on the main window to use shortcuts. I get into the habit of right-clicking the workspace if I'm in and out of actions a lot. I've never seen an issue with ctrl+arrow. Perhaps some other background software is stealing mouse focus from Moho...I've seen that happen before.

I don't think I've seen (or heard) that problem but I agree with Wes, it's probably a focus issue.

Just wanted to add that, depending on the active tool, clicking in the workspace can add a keyframe to the timeline, which you may not want. To avoid this, I hold down a key to temporarily activate a tool that does not add keyframes when clicking the workspace. For example, holding down 'b' will temporarily activate the Select Bone tool, which does not create a keyframe when you click in the workspace. Releasing 'b' should then toggle back to the tool you were on (probably Transform if you were nudging.) This saves you from repeatedly clicking in the tool box.

Hopet his helps.

Yeah, that's why I just right-click, since that won't try to key anything.

Oh, that's great! One less button to push and I'm all for that. Thanks for the tip! :)
