Bind a vector layer to a bone layer

I have seen tutorials do it, supposedly drag and drop? However when I drag and drop my vector layer onto my bone layer the vector layer just moves above the bone layer.

It's more drag and push.
________

click on the vector layer

push—with you mouse pointer down—towards the bone layer until it lights up red

let go of the mouse button to drop the layer inside the bone layer

hmm it works now, but it didnt before

Maybe just took me reopening moho.

Well there are two problems you may encounter:
1 you drag the layer beyond the bone layer and it is dropped above the bone layer
2 the bone layer is closed, so no layer can be put inside it (see screenshot below)

The triangle of the bone layer should be pointed downwards. This also applies to other group-like layers (group, switch and particle).

Yes actually it was locked since that arrow was pointed left. I am not sure how I locked it, or why it unlocked when I reopened moho.
