Save Images (JPG, PNG) on Moho at Hi Resolution?

So There's an option to just preview what you're working on as a still image, and then have options to save them as either jpgs, pngs and the like (very interested in using it for png images) however, it doesn't give you the option to save them at any quality level (the images saved are locked at a poor 72 DPI)
I'm wondering if there's a place somewhere in the options I have to look to make the Preview images saved be at a high resolution (300 DPI).

If you have (say) a 720p project your image will be 1280*720 pixels ... as that gets defaulted to 72 dpi you'll get an image of 18*10 ish. But if the default were 300dpi the image would be 4*2.5 ish . If you want something that's 18" * 10" at 300 dpi then you need a project size of 5400 * 3000 pixels. (and tell PS or whatever that the image is 300dpi and not to resample)

Additionally, I would use the Exporter or Moho Exporter to save out the images. Render Preview does not render the same quality as Exporter, and sometimes has anti-aliasing issues compared a full Exporter render. There are other differences in the render quality but better AA with Exporter should be enough to convince you.
Also, you'll want to enable Extra Smooth Images, which doubles the render size and then scales it down again for even higher AA quality. It will take longer to render the frame but on the amount of detail in the artwork and intended use, it may be worth it.

thank you for that tip, I tried looking at Moho Exporter but I ran into a roadblock. All of the format options are just video files. Is there a place in there I need to look to just save as a PNG/JPG?

Thank you for replying but I'm still having issues. I changed the width and height of the project, but that still yielded a 72 DPI PNG.
I'm rather new to Moho so you may need to dumb it down for me as to what I need to change to make it become a 300 DPI quality PNG.
What I'm trying to do is make a character in moho, then pose them in different poses and expressions to overlay over live footage. But so far putting my current examples into my video editing program yields very blurry and low res characters over my higher res footage.
If you can guide me as to what I need to do to save these images at high quality I'd be greatly appreciative.

Just select Image Sequence, the file format you prefer, and then set you frame range for the frame you wish to render.
At the bottom of the panel, you can save your custom settings as a preset too.

Ok that's solved, thank you for that. There's still an issue of it being rendered at 72 dpi quality. Even after I set the quality all the way to 100 it still saves it at low resolution. I'm rather stumped. Is there another step I'm missing in Project Preferences or in the Exporter?

Which setting are you referring too?
Generally speaking, 'quality' refers to compression settings for video or JPEG image. Setting it higher means less compression is being applied, so the quality is improved (i.e., less 'blocky') but the file will be larger. It has nothing to do with the resolution or AA quality of the image.
The resolution in Moho is whatever you set it to in the Project Settings panel. If you set it to, say, 2048 x 2048, that is exactly what you get regardless of the DPI you desire. DPI is not really relevant when rendering frames for animation, but frame size and aspect ratio is.
DPI is relevant to print production but, even then, images have an explicit resolution regardless of DPI setting. If you're rendering for 300 dpi, you need to render an image with a resolution high enough to accommodate it. For example, if you need an 8" x 10" image at 300 dpi, that's 2400 x 3000 pixels, so just set the Project Settings resolution to 2400 x 3000. The math is simple: just multiply your desired dpi with the desired size in inches, and you'll get the resolution settings needed for Moho.
If getting the highest quality is important, you should render the image to PSD or PNG. PSD will preserve your layers, btw. PNG will flatten the image but preserve the alpha channel. Alternatively, you can use Moho's excellent Layer Comps tool and split out custom layers groupings for compositing--this works ideally with PNG, which is what I usually use at work and for personal projects, for print or animation production.
JPEG is a lossy format so you shouldn't use it for 'final quality' images. It also doesn't support alpha channel. It's mainly useful if disk space is a great concern (although PNG is small but lossless,) or if the image is to be posted directly to a website. In print production, I find JPEG can render artifacts in 'white' spaces, so I tend to avoid it for print whenever possible. For print productions, it's usually best to use a flattened PSD or TIFF as your final output.

One more tip:
If you need the dpi setting to be embedded in the file, render it as a PSD. Then:
1. Open the file in Photoshop (or any PSD compatible image editor)
2. Select Image Size
3. Disable Resample
4. Enter the preferred dpi setting (300, for example)
5. Resave the file
This will embed the new dpi setting to the file without altering the resolution of the image.
