Hi guys, we are producing the animation and art for Kinda Funny the animated serie, We work with them since some months ago . The last team that was working the animation was using Flash but we offered to KF work with Moho (We produced the animated intro, episode 6, 8 and 9).
Our goal was to improve the animation and work faster with the power of moho and we are happy with the result
Our production team is formed by one person for drawing all things on moho, two artist for backgrounds and one animator/director/compositing (me)
I wanna show you the last two episodes we worked on (it's a story splited in two parts). Hope you like it.
warning, some language and sexual content!

Mundokk. Can you share with us what software you use to do your beautiful backgrounds in? I'm referring to the background work in your Mr Donut-Donut Jones commercial. Also, what software do you use to create the light effects? This really makes a huge difference to the look of your 2D animation.
Cheers

Thanks, DK.
Shure. In Kinda Funny we have two artist working on the backgrounds, they used illustrator and some photoshop.
In Mr Donut commercials I was working the backgrounds with SAI and some photoshop. I use After Effects for compositing and there I can add light effects playing with layer modes like "add" or "hard light".

Hi Mundokk.
Thanks for the info. I am still rather curious as to how you achieved the 3D texture look on the stones and the moss and translucent bits of vegetation in Mr Donut? Are they built in texture brushes that can be applied in Photoshop/SAI?
Cheers

That is a proyect from 2012, let me see my backup and I'll share some psd from that proyect. I keep the psd files with all layers, will be more easy to explain if you see inside them

I got kinda lost because I watched part II before part I and thought - What the heck? After watching part I - it makes (more) sense.
Exceptional work.
Also great to see that they (KF) are being supported well on Patreon with over 8,000 patrons.

This is really clever! I like how the intro makes so many references to old cartoons. Can't wait to see what you come up with next!
