How to change color gradients types of existing objects?

I have an object with a radial color gradient.
If I click on "..." (right to "Effekt1" "Farbverlauf", out of window)
I get the "Farbverlauf" (translation: color gradient) window.

But if I change from "Radial" to "Linear":

and click "OK" the color gradient type of my choosen object isn't changed.
It's only changed in the little "Farbverlauf" preview window.
My object has a radial color gradient furthermore.

I have seen that new objects are now created with the
choosen linear color gradient. But I want to change the
color gradient type of my existing object from
"Radial" to "Linear".

So how can I change the color gradient type of an
existing object or isn't it possible?

You need to select the shape, with the Select Shape tool, first.

Can you or anybody please say where is the "select shape tool"?

I tried the first two tools in the first line to select my shapes
(select points and transform points):

And I find out if I let the left mouse key pressed my
object gets the new color gradient but if I release
the mouse button the changes are away.

So what can I do to change my object permanently
to the new color gradient?

Is the "select shape tool" in my image and where is it?
Or have I to change MOHO settings to get the "select shape tool"?
