Is it possible to cycle a frame by frame animation? I've got 170 frms want to cycle back to frm 78. Maybe using a different element like a transform keyframe?

Frame-by-frame is just a switch layer under the hood, so you can cycle its keyframes the same way.

Can't seem to get it to work? I actually have 6 frm by frm folders all in 2's. Clicking on each folder and cycling from last frm to frm 78 does nothing. selecting individual layers inside the frm by frm folder seems to freeze that particular frm. putting all those folders into one also does nothing when cycling???

Correction individual layer doesn't freeze that was me just leaving it selected. But doing it that way does nothing either.

Ty cycle something you always need to go to the bottom layer, setting a cycle on any group layer doesn't do anything (although that would be so nice to have). However, setting the last frame of a switch or FBF layer (not its contents) to cycle should work.

OK got it, thanks guys. My last frame was blank so I was trying to cycle from the next to last frame. I deleted the last blank key frame and then cycled. Now it works!

I just copy the first frame on the timeline for the loop to the end and make that the cycle key. Then, if necessary, I adjust the frames preceding that frame to blend into it. This ensures a smooth cycle. If you're animating on ones, make sure you cycle back to the second frame of the loop and not the first...otherwise, you'll get a single frame 'bump' in the cycle.
