saving a walk cycle to Actions window

completed a walk cycle from frame one, and would like to use it in timeline at a later frame time, (I've searched the forum on the topic but may be its worded differently,) that way I can I save from my current timeline and 'insert copy' from the Actions window back in the timeline at a later time. I did raise this before last year or so, but again the topic was probably worded differently.

How's this?
Copy keys from timeline, create action (without bone selected), paste into action's timeline.

sounds right, now just the minor problem of getting the walk cycle right; will have yet another look and attempt at the relative walk cycle feature in Moho 12, Chucky a forum member rated it as 'troublesome' and from my last attempt I'd agree, any ways off topic, will have a go at what you mentioned. thanks
