mesh + bones animation = chaos

I created a mesh so that I can turn a foot with a control lever (R5 Schuh), which works well.
But when I move the foot bone, the foot is completely distorted. It seems like the mesh fights the movement that the foot bone wants to achieve. this doesn't happen with the left foot which doesn't have a mesh.
What's happening here? Is it not possible to use both smart warp mesh and bones animation?

Image of foot bone movement distorting the foot:

By the way - how do I insert an image in this post? when I use the "image" icon and paste the link to an image that is saved on my OneDrive, the preview shows me the word " image" instead of the image itself. Very funny...

For embedding images, you'll want to use the image address from "View original".
As for the shoe, you have the shoe vector layer layer-bound to the B14 foot bone, but your shoe smart mesh is not. So when you rotate that foot bone, like you have in the file, it is actually rotating the shoe art relative to the smart mesh, distorting it. If you reset that bone rotation, so you only have the smart mesh affecting it, it's not distorted. So you probably want the smart mesh layer layer-bound to the same bone as the shoe art. That will also correct the slight warping of the smart mesh from other bones having strength, while using flexible binding for the bone layer.

I don't know about OneDrive, but for DropBox I need to modify the embed code a little. For example, the default Dropbox link will have this at the end:
?dl=0
And to make it work with this forum, I need to change it to:
?raw=1
This may not apply exactly the same way to OneDrive links but maybe something like that? Just a thought.
BTW, I have to make a different mod for download links for DropBox.

This solved the problem, thank you!

Now I understand why I need to do this, before I was just following a tutorial...
Is it normal that at frame zero the mesh moves without the shoe art ? I move the R5 Schuh lever and the mesh follows, but the R5 Schuh layer doesn't follow:

At frame 1 the R5 Schuh layer art and the R5 Schuh control lever are linked like expected.
I still don't understand where I can find the "view original" image address. Maybe it is called very differently in German. I right click on the picture, choose "share" and then there is only the option "copy link":

I'm glad that helped you understand and get it sorted.
Yes, it's normal for the smart mesh to not affect the art on frame zero. This is because you sculpt the mesh to fit the art on frame zero, and you don't want it warping your art while you try to make it fit.
As far as your images, if I click your link, there's a "View original" right next to the "Download" button on the top toolbar. There's also an "Embed" button next to that.
