my timeline play button hasnt worked since i added an audio file into the animation
Am i doing something wrong?

Not sure what is going on, but check in 'File > Project Settings' if you're Start and End frame are the same, that could be the problem. (You might have accidentally set those with alt left and right click on a frame number in the timeline).

i checked them and they arent the same

Have you tried removing the audio?

mp3,moho 12 pro

Hmm. Try and convert the audio to a .wav file and see if that works

which version / build of 12? (it's on the splash screen you get with "Help / About Moho") And you're on windows??

can you import a video and have the timeline play work properly?

I'm assuming that the audio will play ok outside moho?

if i put my computer to sleep with moho open, when i resume windows and go back to moho, i also experience the same issue with the play button essentially being useless. closing and restarting moho always fixes the issue, though. i take it you're experiencing this same problem when opening moho for the first time?

For audio, I try to always use uncompressed WAV or AIF, just to be sure I get frame accuracy for lip and action syncing. When my source is mp3, I'll usually convert that to uncompressed if I'm going to be doing lip sync with it, but also just to minimize processing overhead in general. This probably makes a very small difference but I'll take any bit of extra power and RAM I can get.

But it sounds like something else is going on here, like file or data corruption, or codec incompatibility. Is the audio file something you can make available for others to test?
