Just wondering as I think Windows 11 was released today.

I've been using Moho with Win 11 for months, works perfectly as far as I've seen.

Hi Chucky,
Any issues or improvements hardware support with Win 11? Specifically, with tablets and pens?
ATM, Win 10 tablet support is pretty good for me but tablet features sometimes break when there's a major update. I was wondering how it's been with Win 11. (Wacom or Huion.)

Hmmm, nothing I've noticed in any app I use.
Clip Studio is the main one for pen and it works perfectly. What an app eh?
Moho is the same as in Win 10 as far as I can tell, unfortunately it could be better for pen and all things drawing.
Storyboard pro is hard to tell as I just upgraded that too, Toon Boom has improved its vector drawing tools immensely, but is a bit twitchy, with phantom right clicks being quite common, I blame TB for that though as it's always been pretty unstable.
Otherwise general navigation in windows is fine, the handwriting to text gets better all the time.
So, not an issue .
So generally I really like Win 11

.... apart from some annoying taskbar problems with no clock on second monitor and can't drag documents into programs through the taskbar, sounds like a petty quibble, but are real 'flow' breaking bugbears

Cool! Thanks for the info. Maybe I'll take the plunge with my laptop and see how it goes.

I'm a bit shocked that neither of my computers meet the update requirements. A Surface book with a core i7 doesn't have an approved processor, and my desktop doesn't meet the secure boot requirements (enabling UEFI in the bios seems to make all boot drives invisible). Looks like my only option is to make a USB boot stick? What a pain!

Yep I'm in that boat too. Just the proccessor, that is not old and not weak, but not supported. I think I'll wait for now.

For some recent computers that 'don't qualify', I read somewhere that it's a matter of changing a setting in the bios. Sorry, I don't recall the details but a Google search should bring it up.
Just now I did a quick search and found this. I haven't read through it but I think it describes what I'm talking about...

Hopefully, somebody here that has actual experience with this will chime in.

Yes I already changed the neccesary bios settings but the processor is still unsupported. I read that I can download the iso and install it myself and then I would have to change some registry info to make windows 11 think its fine to keep installing updates but I don't really need it and problems may arise later so I felt like I was just procrastinating at that point haha.

Shoot, I'm seeing the same for my laptop (Xeon) and desktop (i7) which have a reasonably recent processors. I guess it doesn't necessarily mean these processors will never be supported but disappointed because these are hardly old computers.
My wife's desktop and my child's laptop appear to be supported, but I don't want to wind up troubleshooting their computers if something goes wrong. Think I'll wait and see if support eventually comes to my computers.

My computer wasn't supported, but it took five minutes from discovering and installing win 11.
I just flicked a security switch in the bios, if the cpu is good , you get the greenlight and it's more stable than win 10, truthfully.
There's a lot to like actually, it's been super stable even through beta

I confess I haven't yet checked for the bios switch on my two computers. Will try it for the laptop this weekend.

I took another look and apparently I can install Win 11 on my desktop. I went into the bios, enabled TPM 2.0, and now the PC Health Check app says my computer is Win 11 compatible.
Not so for the laptop...in this case, it's complaining about the Xeon processor, not TPM.
Rats! I was hoping I could upgrade the laptop first because I can't risk upgrading the desktop right now since I use it for work. Guess I'll have to wait for now.

That's cool,
I don't think it's a risk, Dennis.
Like I said, it more stable than 10, with the beta cycle and the insider builds, the bugs have been ironed out across so many types of hardware, and obviously the hardware limitations are what give it that extra robustness and future proofing.
Those hardware limits are actually a really good idea to make the windows environment way more predictable and stable.
