Sound thru headphones while working?

Hi quick question. For some reason the audio when working with Moho and playing back scenes always goes thru my iMac's speakers. Problem being the room I work in is also our bedroom and thus I want it to go thru the headphones when working late at night when my gf is asleep. The system is set to play back thru the headphones and it does so in all other apps. I know some apps have settings inside the app for such things but I can't find that in Moho. Is this normal or am I having a glitch? Is there a setting for sound output maybe I'm missing?

I had this happen once. It seemed to be due to when I connected my wireless headphones and when I opened Moho. Like Moho was in the process of opening when the bluetooth was connecting or something.
Haven't duplicated the issue since.

This has happened to me a few times when running under windows. It usually sorts itself out when I close Moho and reopen it - but not if it has closed itself via a crash and then I open it.

It happens every time for me even after restarting both Moho and the computer, very odd.

This also happens on my macbook pro and my wireless headphones. To solve this, you should FIRST connect your headphones and after that start Moho. If moho is already running you should close it, connect headphones, and start it again. If your headphones disconnect while Moho is running and you connect them again, them you should close moho and open it again. Don't know the cause of this but it's what I've figured out so far.

Yes definitely agree. Moho only checks sound hardware preference at start up, any changes that happen when Moho is already running are ignored. I've had cases where Moho plays through the headphones whilst everything else is using the speakers because I switched to speakers without restarting Moho.

I've heard from friends that they all have problems with Bluetooth headphones on Mac: they seem to switch randomly, and some programs demand a certain sequence of switching stuff on.

Hey, thanks for the tip. Yes if I quit Moho, turn off and on the headphones and then restart Moho it works with the headphones. Oddly though the headphones are already on and I start Moho it doesn't work. Even though they are working with other apps I need to quit the headphone (bluetooth) then start them up again then launch Moho immediately. Which is odd, but hey it's working now. Maybe a quirk of my system. Thanks so much!

Reviving the topic to say I found an app called SoundSource that let's you control your sound outputs on mac. You can select sound outputs for different programs and control their volumes separately. It was very effective on solving this sound issue on my computer. I really recommend it.

Uhm, there's already a program in utilities, "Audio MIDI setup", which does the same.

MIDI setup doens't have this level of control over specific applications. It's kernel-level control over outputs and applications, that's the thing that solves the problem of moho recognizing the output only when it starts up, and not changing afterwards.
