Handy hands

Of all the character creating tasks to do, my least favorite is hands.
I suggest that a good basic hand shape be added to the pre-made shape options (rectangle, circle, triangle, star, arrow, spiral, grid)... something that would have the points already located at the joints, spaced correctly. That way, we could quickly get a hand, then tweak it.
OK, now I'll argue with myself: But what kind of hand? How many fingers? There are so many ways to do hands!
Agreed. Perhaps there should be a choice of 3, 4 and 5 fingers. (Anything else would be something I'd expect to have to build custom.)
More arguing: But what angle? Straight on like waving, or more like it is at rest when a character stands facing forward?
I was thinking straight on, and we'd bend it to our needs like all other shapes. But maybe you are right... a hand generator could be a future project.
